Being a Wrestler
Being a wrestler is something you’ll never feel until you do it. Going to match can be scary or happy and for me it’s both. The day of my match, I’m just thinking about who I am wrestling and if they are good or not. Before the match starts, I’m just thinking about my match, my moves, and praying to Hashem that I will not get injured or hurt badly. Sometimes I feel nervous too, which is normal, because everyone is feeling the nerves as I am. When I’m called to wrestle, I am excited because I’ve work hard in practice and I deserve to win this match. My team chants my name and I run to the mat with great excitement, I’m sent to the middle of the mat, face my opponent, and when the whistle blows, it’s like an explosion and I wrestle. It can get tiring in a match, but for me I’ve got good stamina and I wrestle hard. When I win my match it’s the greatest feeling in the world, it’s like winning something that you deserve and worked so hard to achieve. For me this is what being a wrestler is all about and how it feels to wrestle a match for TABC.
